Head of Data Warehouse & Analytics

We are partnering with a leading organization in the Financial Services sector to appoint a Head of Data Warehouse & Analytics who will lead enterprise-wide data strategy and deliver measurable business value through scalable, secure, and regulatory-compliant data solutions.

This role operates at the intersection of technology, analytics, risk, and business leadership. The successful candidate will own the vision, architecture, and execution of the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence ecosystem, ensuring full alignment with regulatory, risk, and financial reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the enterprise Data Warehouse & Analytics strategy aligned with banking and financial business priorities

Lead the design, modernization, and evolution of data architectures including Cloud, Lakehouse, ELT, and real-time data platforms

Oversee data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, BI platforms, regulatory reporting, and advanced analytics capabilities

Partner closely with Business, Finance, Risk, Treasury, and Compliance stakeholders to translate regulatory and business requirements into robust data solutions

Establish and maintain strong data governance, data quality, lineage, security, and auditability frameworks

Ensure ongoing compliance with financial regulations and internal data standards

Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, and strategic platform investments

Build, mentor, and scale high-performing Data Engineering, Analytics, and BI teams

Execution & Leadership Expectations

Strong delivery mindset with a hands-on, results-driven leadership approach

Proven track record of delivering large-scale, enterprise data programs within regulated environments

Extensive experience in vendor management, including commercial negotiations, performance governance, and delivery accountability

Demonstrated success in implementing and scaling Agile practices across data, regulatory, and analytics initiatives

Ability to operate effectively in complex, cross-functional banking environments and proactively remove delivery and regulatory blockers

Required Qualifications

Strong background in Banking or Financial Services

10+ years of experience in Data, Analytics, Data Warehouse, or BI leadership roles

5+ years of experience in senior leadership or executive-level positions

Deep expertise in enterprise Data Warehousing, BI, and Analytics platforms

Hands-on experience with cloud-based data ecosystems (preferably Azure)

Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data architecture patterns

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior business and technology stakeholders

Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
